Designed in Sydney, Karst Stone Paper aims to disrupt the paper industry. The need for paper isn’t going away any time soon, but the need for a sustainable paper option is nearing a tipping-point.

Karst Stone Paper is a superior alternative to traditional pulp paper that uses no trees, water, wastes, acids or bleaches to produce, delivering the whitest and smoothest paper available.

Karst recycles waste stone produced by the mining industry and construction industry, crush it into a powder, and combine it with a non-toxic, recyclable binding agent to make stone paper without harming a tree.

Calcium carbonate is one of the world's most abundant resources, making it an enduring material that alleviates the demand for deforestation. Better still, the manufacturing process is powered in part by solar energy and leaves a 60% smaller carbon footprint than traditional paper.

Stone paper is also more durable and robust than traditional tree-based paper. As well as being tear-resistant, Karst notebooks are also waterproof from the covers to the pages.
